The Story

There is a kind of wisdom that lives in the land — passed down through blood, through ceremony, through the quiet hum of the bayou at night. Yarami LaCour was born from that wisdom. A son of Louisiana, shaped by his indigenous, Aboriginal American Indian, and Creole roots, he carries the memory of his ancestors in every note he sings.

Before the algorithms and the streaming era, before the world knew what an influencer was, YARAMI was already one. At just 16 years old, he built a MySpace following of over 750,000 friends and fans — an organic community drawn to his voice, his story, and his presence. That reach caught the attention of a record label, who came calling with his first deal. His mother declined. He was 16, and it wasn't the right time. But the world had already heard him. He kept that platform alive until he was 19 — proof that this gift was never manufactured. It was always real.

For over 12 years, Yarami moved through the music industry as a songwriter and producer — writing quietly, building loudly. His pen touched the work of some of the most celebrated artists alive: Frank Ocean, Keke Palmer, Diggy Simmons, A$AP Mob, Jacob Latimore, Coldplay, Jordan Bratton, Tone Carter, Ro James, and Teyana Taylor. While the world heard their voices, few knew there was one pen — one voice — shaping the words they sang.

On stage, he was equally formidable. As lead vocalist of the acclaimed show band Melodic Bridge, he opened for Ledisi, Robin Thicke, and Sunshine Anderson — artists whose vocal legacies cast long shadows. As a member of Legna Music Group, an imprint under Roc Nation, he shared stages with Scarface, Diggy Simmons, and A$AP Mob — performing for thousands while the world still didn't know his name.

He was the architect. Never the one standing in his own building.

That changes now.

YARAMI is not the story of an overnight sensation. It is the story of a man who spent a decade giving his gift to everyone but himself — and who finally chose purpose over the shadows. Not chasing fame. Not chasing fortune. But answering something older, deeper, and more honest than either. His music carries that weight: the kind of R&B that feels like a late-night conversation you weren't expecting to have, the kind that stays with you long after the song ends.

Described by Speed on the Beat as channeling the soulful depth of Chris Brown with a sound reminiscent of Justin Bieber's most intimate cuts, YARAMI blends smooth neo-soul vocals, emotional honesty, and funk-laced modern R&B into something that is entirely his own.

Distributed independently through Symphonic Distribution, his catalog spans twelve singles and a full EP, with 160,000 Spotify streams and growing — one real moment at a time.
